We often believe our own experiences aren’t "spectacular" enough to be written down. We wait for the great novel, the perfect moment, or a story that changes the world.
In doing so, we forget that a family’s most precious treasures often lie in the small, everyday details.

As I shared with you recently, the silence in my family was like a wall. What I possess today are fragments – a ring, a faded photo, a marginal note in elegant handwriting. Filling in those gaps is painstaking detective work.

That is exactly why I want to encourage you today: Become a guardian of stories yourself.

It doesn’t matter whether you are securing the faded traces of your own family history, documenting the life journey of a dear friend, or creating an entirely fictional world that has come to life in your mind.

Every story that finds its way onto paper is a victory over silence. It doesn’t have to be a literary masterpiece. It only needs to be real. When you capture the fleeting moments, the traits of the people around you, or the dreams that haunt your nights, you are creating something lasting.

One day, these lines will be the "poetry of found objects" for someone else.
I invite you: find a quiet moment, take a piece of paper, and just start. Because what is not written down will eventually be lost.

Where would you begin today?
